Chocolate and “fleur de sel” clementines

chocolate and fleur de sel clementine

Clementines are my favorite fruits. The have everything for themselves : they are sour, sweet, delicious, they have a pretty name and they are easy to peel (did I tell you I wa lazy ?).

So let’s use this beautiful fruit to make little bites of chocolate and “fleur de sel” clementines to eat with coffe, tea or to make a gift.

This recipe resembles orangettes (candied orange zest in chocolate) but these clementines are easier to make, and remain fresh. The downside is that they have to be eaten more quickly. Wait, is it really a downside ? 🙂

For about 20 segment of chocolate and “fleur de sel” clementines :

[icon-box icon=beaker width=5/5]

  • A handful of chocolate to melt (+2 tbsp water)
  • Fleur de sel (salt)
  • 3 clementines

Pell the clementines and divide them into segment. Take as much of the little white filaments as you can.

Melt the chocolate with just a little bit of water. Stir it.

Dip half of each segment of clementine before the chocolate cools down.

Sprinkle some fleur de sel on top of them and let it solidify.

Oh quelle belle idée! J’adore cette association mandarine-chocolat 🙂
